This seven-minute show is based on the book Honouring the Buffalo: A Plains Cree Legend by Wisdom Keeper/Storyteller Ray Lavallee, illustrations by Mike Keepness written by Judith Silverthorne.

This is an oral story originally told by Plains Cree storyteller Ray Lavallee about a grandfather telling his grandson how the buffalo came to the Great Plains to help their people survive in the past. For more information please see About.
